The stainless steel rotation disk highlighted here was custom CNC machined for a manufacturer of sporting goods; it was designed for use as a cam in an archery accessory assembly. This project demonstrates our ability to provide precision machining services as well as supplementary services that help simplify the sourcing process.
Machining the many curves, angles, flats, and radii on this 416 stainless steel part was efficiently executed on our multi-axis CNC machining equipment. Each piece measured .4375″ in diameter x .250″ high, we fabricated the part within dimensional tolerances of ±.0003″ and radial accuracy of 1°. The 5,000 parts in this order were tumbled to a burr-free, 32 micro finish, then heat treated to add strength and boost their corrosion resistance. Our highly skilled quality professionals utilized precision gauges and optical instruments, to verify that these rotation disks met the demands of the customer specification.
Our versatility and deep knowledge of many manufacturing process technologies enabled us to execute the project successfully and cost-effectively. To learn more about this project or how our services can help you meet your business objectives, contact us today.
